Putting musical talent in the spot light
POPSPOT is the go-to platform for young and talented musicians in the Netherlands to explore and develop their musical careers. POPSPOT is about discovering, meeting, collaborating, sharing experimenting, investing and developing. The program has more than 15 years of experience and has grown into a recognized talent trajectory. It’s both provincially and nationally anchored and with a committed team of 80+ trained coaches who help invest in the future of Dutch pop talent.
Challenge
We need to make clear what POPSPOT stands for. Which means the brand needs te be more visible and has to evoke the right associations. Basically, POPSPOT needed a stronger visual brand identity in order to attract new talent, partners and investors.
Outcome
Together with a very enthusiastic and dedicated team of internal and external participants we developed a brand new visual brand identity and strategy. A sturdy and visable logo, bright colors and a clear and distinctive set of assets put to work in a brand-spanking new website. Eventually it even resulted in a very slight, but very important change to the brand name. What was previously ‘Popsport’ (like top-sport/ professional sports) is now named ‘POPSPOT’, implying that people can take the spotlight in the context of popmusic.
